Cappadocia Red Group Day Tour
The Cappadocia Red Tour is the most popular of the three. During this tour, you will visit the Northern and Central parts of Cappadocia, featuring the world-famous magical fairy chimneys, surrounding valleys, and exciting hands-on activities.
Beginning with a drive to the highest point in Cappadocia, Uçhisar Castle, you will get to see the whole Northern Cappadocia region from above. You will see almost the full tour itinerary, the magical fairy chimneys, scenic valleys, ancient villages, and more.
Going back down, we will be headed to the Göreme Open-Air Museum where some of the best-preserved ancient architecture marvels are awaiting curious explorers. Just next to it, there is an ancient village, Çavuşin, where you will see old Greek buildings dating back to the 5th century. Carved in rocky formations, they offer a truly extraordinary insight into how people used to live here centuries ago.
After the first round of exploring, we will have lunch in a cozy town, Avanos. You will have some free time to relax, but if you would love to dive deeper into the local culture, you must try the potter’s wheel. The local craftsmen have done pottery in this region for more than 5000 years, so if you have ever considered taking it up as a hobby, or even a career, this is the best place to try it out!
The tour will continue with an easy hike in the Paşabağ region where the world-famous fairy chimneys are located. The title does its justice, the sights are truly magical, and the stories surrounding these unique formations are just as intriguing.
Before heading back to your hotel, there will be a stop at Ürgüp. It is a place known for making excellent wine, which you will get to taste while hearing stories about its making in an authentic setting from the local winemaker.
The tour includes round-trip transportation, all admission fees, lunch, and is offered year-round. This is a group tour, however, we also offer private tours.
NOTE: This tour is organized in groups of up to 16 people. If you would rather have a private experience, explore our Cappadocia private tours.
